Silver Spotted Skippers are large skipper butterflies found predominantly in the Eastern United States but have been seen throughout North America. Interestingly they rarely land on yellow flowers, preferring blue, violet and pink flowers as seen in these images. The bland skippers (#1 & 2) were photographed in July and the darker one with golden spots was photographed in August.
