It was my mom's birthday and I happened to go to the mall to book tickets for a movie. Before leaving my house black clouds had already gathered around in my colony and I knew I could get some beautiful shots. So I carried my cousin's camera bag with me just in case. And guess what I did in the parking lot of the mall!
In order to get the right perspective I played around taking a few shots of bicycles and parked vehicles. They all looked vibrant after having bathed under the shower of the clouds.
In no time I noticed people staring at me, be it the mall staff, people on the sidewalk or even the ones driving past me in the lot. And me, being an introvert, started looking down at the ground for some abstract elements in order to focus on shooting.
In doing so I came to look upon my own reflection and stood frozen at the sight of a bespoke form of art. Without much intention of questioning my vision, I raised the camera up-close to my face and snapped a picture off of it.
I-was-amazed!
I then grabbed a couple more shots to get that right frame and voila!

Location
In the parking lot of a mall, I happened to pay a visit to book tickets for a movie in Raipur, Chhattisgarh (India). It was my mom's birthday!Time
This was shot around 1:00 PM on a cloudy afternoon. It did start raining, and there I was, standing under my umbrella staring at my own self, being reflected off a pool of rain-drops.Lighting
The grey clouds had already accompanied in providing soft light. So all I had to do was set the right shutter speed and snap!Equipment
A Canon EOS 1300D set on 18mm focal length (setting the camera close-up-to-my face to frame everything properly).Inspiration

Yes. All photos that I shoot have some edits ranging from colour, brightness, contrast, shadow, etc. One of my main focus on this was to do with colour. Getting the right mustard yellow of my pants and the dry leaf, the right colour grey of the road, and an overall dullness in keeping with the rainy season helped bring the vision I was trying for.In my camera bag
Nikon D7000 (since the camera mentioned earlier was my cousin's) and my one and only 150mm lens. And about two extra SD-Cards.Feedback
I happened to stumble upon something I genuinely felt transfixed on. From the moment I saw it with my eyes, I knew I could get a beautiful shot of it. My advice would be that— in whichever environment you find yourself in, try and be yourself in seeing the things around you. Then, when something arouses a feeling so over-the-top in you, you take a snap!
