Thank you. I wanted to compress the perspective to make the moon appear larger, but there was a bunch of thorny brush behind me and I couldn't do it. I had to wait quite a while for the moon to align perfectly wit the center spire in both the rock formation and its reflection.

Location
This photo was taken on a beautiful evening while I was on vacation with my family in Sedona, Arizona.Time
When the sun hits the rocks during the golden hour Sedona becomes a magical place, highlighting the red rocks that surround the area. This image was taken in June around 20:30.Lighting
The Sedona area has magical light at sunrise and sunset. The red rocks turn an amazing color during this time.Equipment
This shot was taken with my Sony A6500 using my Sony E PZ 18-105 FA G OSS lens set at 27 mm, ISO 100, f/4, 1/20 s. I used a Vanguard VEO tripod and a 2-second delay. No other equipment was used for the shot.Inspiration
While on vacation in Sedona, I enjoyed hiking with my grandsons. We came upon this spot as we were hiking near Oak Creek in the afternoon. Oak Creek provides an excellent opportunity to swim and refresh on a late afternoon. There is a small natural waterslide and a beautiful swimming area. I noted this spot to return during sunset. It had recently rained so the small pool was filled with water, creating a beautiful reflection. When we returned that evening I was pleasantly surprised with the full moon rising over Cathedral Rock and waited until it was perfectly aligned with the spires in the rock and the reflection. The waiting time gave me some excellent time to talk with my grandsons. I would have liked to back up some to compress the image and make the moon appear larger. However, it was impossible due to the brush and briars behind me.Editing
I adjusted the lighting and color slightly while converting the image from RAW to JPEG. I also brightened the reflection slightly. In my camera bag
I like to travel light. I always carry my Sony A6500, a Sony 18-105 f/4 lens, a Rokinon 12mm lens, and a set of ND filters.Feedback
Sedona offers many beautiful areas to photograph at sunset. To access this particular spot park in the Crescent Moon Day Use area and follow the trail along Oak Creek toward Buddha Beach. It is best just before sunset, but you can come early and enjoy swimming in Oak Creek and photographing other parts of this beautiful area.
