I am an older woman that has never had a camera lesson in my life I use a Canon SX 50 HS or a Canon SX60Hs in the fully automatic setting. I carry my camera wherever we go. We were about to pull out of our driveway to head to town when I saw this Piliated Woodbecker in the top of an old barely alive tree, so I took a shot, and this was the result.Time
Taken a little afternoon if I am not mistaken. That seems to be when lighting is best and it was just a coinsidence that the lighting was good and the bird was cooperative, I have named my camera photography business " Never ready Photography " because that is usually the way it is when trying to photograph a live animal. I am almost never ready.Lighting
I know nothing aout settings best for lighting I just depend on my camera to take the best shot,Equipment
Just use a Canon SX50HS and a Canon SX60 HS. I aim and shoot the camera does the rest. Never use a tripod.Inspiration
His beautiful coloration and the fact that there were no telephone or electrical wire to be edited ou of the photoEditing
Sometime edit size and use auto for the contrast etc.In my camera bag
I have many many batteries and high speed memory cards and some lens cleaner in my camera bag.Feedback
Don't worry about perfection.. You like what you see take a photo or two or three. I have many shots taken from a fast moving car .
