Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was actually taken indoors inside a salon using a grey back drop.

Time

When the image was shot it was sunny outside and about 80 degrees.

Lighting

This image was shot using two continuous light softboxes on either side of the subject.

Equipment

Canon 60D, Canon 18-135mm lens, 2 cowboy studios softboxes, and a backdrop.

Inspiration

For a while I had been wanting to play with doing some indoor shoots set to trick your eye and make you think the subject is somewhere they’re not.

Editing

Minor post processing. Black and white conversion and then adding a snow texture overlay.

In my camera bag

Normally I have a canon 80D and Canon 24-105L on me.

Feedback

I’d recommend using lights that have adjustable kelvin temperature to make the image blend in with whatever overlay you’re using.
