It was so moving to see this old couple still holding hands like young people in love.
And on that winter day this very special light seemed to be there just to enhance their loving attitude.
I felt very lucky to be able to seize and immortalize that precious short moment

Location
This photo was taken in the park next to where I live (Parc Barbieux, Roubaix, France). It's one of the most beautiful parks in France for its varied and remarkable trees. It's also one of the largest.Time
It was in the afternoon around 3 pm in winter.Lighting
Though it was in the winter there was a little bit of light behind the jet of water located in the middle of the park pond. It created an unusual kind of divine light probably enhanced by the droplets spraying from the water jet. With the dark leafless tree in the middle the atmosphere was a bit eery and magic at the same time. I definitely wanted to freeze that particular and unusual moment by taking my picture. It came out exactly as amazing as in the reality.Equipment
I used only my usual Canon SX530S. I just zoomed on the scene from a distance.Inspiration
I felt that this loving elderly couple holding hand in this magic light was just moving. Plus the presence of the seagul flying around them in this divine light somehow seemed to symbolize their love and their souls maybe close to Heaven. It all looked very symbolical of the human final journey. It may sound a bit gloomy said this way but on the contrary it appeared to me like a welcoming light coming from an open door ajar above in another dimension.Editing
I just cropped the picture a little bit on one side to have a more balanced scene as the tree was taking too much room on the left hand side.In my camera bag
I always carry along my usual Canon SX530S. Though not a sophisticated professional camera it definitely suits me and I am very pleased with the way the way the photos come out and always match my intentions sometimes even beyond what I expected.Feedback
Always look for any unusual light which is always possible when around water. In that kind of environment it generally takes me only a few minutes before finding an interesting reflection or glimmer that gives the picture a different atmosphere or tonality.
