Location
This picture was taken in my homestudio penthouse in germany. Its indoor but i used a studio backdrop and 2 black mobile walls right and left next to her.Time
This was in the middle of the day, even it was indoor i had to challenge the direct sunlight and need a sunswatter on the windowLighting
The light was very bright incoming in the room. So i decide to use a swatter in front of the window to soften the light a little bit. This gives me the charming soft light in her face. For a deeper dimension i used 2 black walls (mobile).Equipment
I used my Nikon D810 and a Sigma Art 50mm lens. Also i used a sunswatter. The black mobile walls i used are not really neccessary. In the background i used my backdrop canvas but i decide to use it more as a black background than a structured background in this case.Inspiration
She has really good facial impressions and so i wanted to capture her without anything sruggling around. To make her more outstanding.Editing
I did less retouching on this picture, i cleaned the hairs a little bit and cover some imperfections. A little bit dodge and burn in her face and under the nose, that all.No extra sharpen or something like this.In my camera bag
In my bag there is a lot of stuff right now. In the last time i realize what i really need and what is only for special shootings. In my bag there are some small clamps and a music box. This is to fit the clothes tighter to the model and to bring the model in a good mood. And then my standard camera, a nikon d810 with the sigma art lens series. A USB Power Charger for the cell phone of the selfie addicted models and a tangle teaser for helping the model with the hairs.Feedback
This setup is really quick and easy. Just put the model in your room with her face to the window light. Something between 2 and 3 meters away from the window. The you can put something next to her to cover the surrounding light. Depending on what you want for a background you can put the background (black 1m, other colors more far away) behind her and make herself outstanding. So you get wondeful catchlight in the eyes and a great skin because of the charming light. If the sun is to bright you can use a sunswatter or diffusor, if you don´t have something like this, bring her deeper in the room to avoid the direct to strong sunlight.
