Throughout all the years I've lived in Oregon I've always wanted to photograph the storm waves at Shore Acres State Park. I watched the surf forecast last February and it called for a major event. I drove 3.5 hours to get there arriving at about 8:00 am. I quickly set up the tripod. About 10 minutes later this monster hit the rocks. One of the locals, who has been photographing the waves for years, said it's the biggest he's every seen. He figured it to be about 250 feet tall. It was so big that it actually went out of my frame at the top in a couple succeeding photos. I spent about 8 hours there. Incredible!

Thanks! I can't believe I waited so many years to go there. I went again a few weeks ago but the waves weren't quite as epic as this day.
