OMG.. this image took me aback when I first saw it. I have an almost exact same photo how you have captured the splash enveloping the sun, except my wave isn't crashing against a rock. I will have to find it and share :-) .. love your profile too, we think alike AND have the same camera!

Location
This was taken on Langstrand, between Walvisbay and Swakopmund in Namibia.Time
This was taken a dusk, as the sunset over the see. The photo was taken on the 23rd March 2016 at 19:12.Lighting
Sunset, best time of the day!Equipment
This was shot with Canon 650D, EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ISII lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I love sunsets and silhouettes,Editing
The picture was taken in RAW and I used Photoshop Elements to process the image. Otherwise nothing more than the basics and a bit of cropping. In my camera bag
Normally I pack my camera (Canon 650D) and the EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 ISII lens as well a EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ISII lens. Also in the bag I keep a spare battery, memory card and cleaning gear.Feedback
As with all outdoor photos, being present is the main ingredient. Always expect something awesome to happen. With sunsets and silhouettes, I find that something unique and clearly distinguishable in the foreground is necessary. Take lots and lots of shots, moments are fleeting and waves (as in this case) do not pose for your perfect shot. Lastly, enjoy the experience and take time to see beyond your view finder ;-)
