Behind The Lens

Location

This particular photo was taken in my yard. I'm a big fan of succulents, cacti in particular, so this inspired me to try something different.

Time

Taken on a spring afternoon. I always wander the yard to see what is blooming, what needs attention, where the birds are nesting, etc. It's a special time for me and the dogs.

Lighting

Natural light. I'm a beginner when it comes to photography, I look at light and shadows but do not have techical experience setting up a shot using them. I take several shots at different angles to get what I'm looking for.

Equipment

This was shot using the camera on my phone (Samsung), nothing else.

Inspiration

I was practicing! I have seen so many creative photographs using water droplets, so I thought, "let's give this a whirl and see what happens!" It worked!

Editing

The one and only thing I did was crop the picture so that the droplet was more prominent.

Bag? What bag? :)

Feedback

For beginners like me, find something that captures your imagination and practice! Look for the subtleties in everything and imagine what it would look like on a wall in your favorite room or as a gift for someone. Be patient and keep at it.
