i cannot help but wonder if the color of this image is adjusted away from the natual colors of the scene, but the composition combined with the unique capture of the lightning still makes it a masterpiece.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture from Al Qua Desert in Abu Dhabi.

Time

I captured this photo at 3.45 A.M

Lighting

We went one of the darkest place in UAE with UAE landscapers group to capture the milky way. It was a very interesting weather. We were capturing the milky way but suddenly rain starts with thunder storm. Everybody were preparing to back.But me & my wife Fahamida Badhon took risk to capture the thunder storm & got this photo.

Equipment

I used Nikon D610 with samyung 14 mm f/2.8 lens for this image.

Inspiration

Actually i had no plan to capture the image of thunder storm. We were there for capturing the milky way. But when thunder storm starts then decide to capture the thunder storm.

Editing

Yes. I decreased highlight, exposure little bit. Also i increased contrast little bit. All post-processing done by light room.

In my camera bag

Normally i used to keep my samyung 14mm f/2.8 lens with Nikon D610 in my bag

Feedback

Actually capturing the thunder storm is a very risk. You have to more careful about safety.
