A dream shot for sure! He looks like an angel with the perfect wing position. Bravo!

This is with out doubt one of my favorite photographs of this male kestrel, taken in early April at mid morningLighting
As regard the light, well it was flat but there was enough to get a decent shutter speed, giving me the chance to freeze the wingsEquipment

Loads, don't always take everything with if i'm local i have in mind what im trying to achieve and tend to stick with it, although there has been times when i could have done with a few extra bits and bobs, but i like to be maneuverable. When i travel in to africa and India then there's everything including the kitchen sink. Currently the basic kit includes: all Canon> 2x 1DX MKII: 1x7 DMKII: 1x 1DMKIV infrared converted: 200-400mm +1.4 extender: 600mm f4 MKII: + various extenders, 16-35mm f2.8 MKII: 24-70M KII f2.8: 70-200 F2.8 MKII, lee Filters, Gitzo six section tripod heavy duty, bean bags, monopod, gimbal, unique ball.Feedback
Be patience do your homework, learn some basic field craft, ask questions don't be afraid of doing this, no matter how stupid you may think they sound, a proper photograph should always help you. There s a lot of the so called big boys out there, that wouldn't give mear mortals the time of day, there's no need for that sort of attitude, in my humble opinion: Good Luck
