Location
Southern France. A group of like minded fellow photographers organized a trip and shared expenses.Time
I remember the evening shoot because the wind had whipped up and there was a chill in the air. I had on knee high muck boots so I could be out in the water . Capturing the horses running directly at me was exhilarating and I got off several shots before they were so close I was splashed and covered in mud. Took me several hours to clean my equipment that night but the shots I got were worth it.Lighting
Evening light always seems to be my favorite time to shoot.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark II 70-200 f 2.8 lensInspiration
Horses make the best models. I like photographing almost anything but horses are a favorite.Editing
Some basic sharpening , bringing up the detail in the splash and silver effects pro to change to black and white. In my camera bag
Canon 5 D Mark III, 24-70 lens, 70-200 lens and a portrait lens at 85mm. I also have a wide angle I use for landscape 16-35mm.Feedback
My best advice to photographers is get outside of your comfort zone and shoot unusual in the best light possible. Use your imagination and try anything.
