This is like perfect. Just a suggestion maybe try to have the model be a little closer to the owl. other than that spot on.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my backyard after a fresh fallen snow.

Time

I took this around 3:00 p.m. in the dead of winter. It was snowing so the clouds made for a beautiful filter.

Lighting

The lighting is all natural. Filtered by the clouds that day and reflected by the fresh fallen snow.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D4s body and a Nikon 70-200 lens. I edited in photoshop and lightroom.

Inspiration

I wanted to produce a beautiful winter scene for my daughters to cherish their childhood forever.

Editing

I first edited in lightroom, adjusting exposure and vibrance. I then made this a composite image in Photoshop Elements 13. I added some different colors to make this snow scene magical.

In my camera bag

I usually have two camera bodies (my Nikon D4s and Nikon D810) and two camera lenses (70-200 and 50mm 1.4).

Feedback

Be creative and imagine the unimaginable. Just because you have a beautiful scene does not mean it will be a beautiful image. You need a good subject, composition, creativity, and connection with your audience. You want someone to feel something deep down inside them when they look at your images. That is art.
