Behind The Lens
Location
I took this in my back garden, in Northampton UKTime
This was taken around 3pmLighting
I always try and use natural light, and so far have never used a flash or any other form of artificial light.Equipment
I used a Canon 7d Mk2, and a prime Canon 50mm lens that I had just brought on that day. I didn't use a tripod, so was taken handheld.Inspiration
I had just brought a new lens, and was having a play around with it in the garden taking snaps of flowers, when the above bee took a liking to a Lavendar planet we had growing. I took a seat next to the plant and sat there for 45 minutes waiting to get a shot in focus.Editing
I only use Lightroom, and I cropped the image and adjusted the highlights and colourIn my camera bag
I just take my camera, and a spare lens which depending on what I am planning on shooting will be a wide angle lens, and a tele-photo or a 50mm prime. I take a spare battery (fully charged) and a couple of memory cardsFeedback
