This was a 2 1-2 hour drive and a half hour walk to get here only to be met with a drab grey sky - Loch an Eilein at Rothiemurchus near Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands. The castle on an island in the loch is thought to date back as far as the 13th century but has had many alterations over the years.
