Location
This picture was taken at the Lions Bate bridge near Vancouver BC. In the background you can see Grouse Mountain and North VancouverTime
I did one of my photo-walks around Stanley Park and ended up at night at the overpass overseeing the bridgeLighting
I tried to experiment a bit to get all the lights look like stars. It was taken before Christmas and it fit the mood of lights and sparksEquipment
I use a cropped sensor Pentax-K3 and Sigma lenses. This was shot with the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 on a Carbon fibre Manfrotto tripod and long exposureInspiration
I take the bridge many times to reach North Vancouver and I always wanted to capture feeling when I cross it. Especially when you return at sunset or night and all the lights from the city are visibleEditing
It's a basic white balancing and some enhancements in saturation and quality check of blacks and whitesIn my camera bag
Always my Pentax K3, various Sigma lenses, a 10-24mm. 24-70mm and 70-200mm. Depending on the location and type of shoot I only take one or two lenses with me. My Carbon Fibre Manfrotto and Gitzo ball-head, a variation of Lowepro Camerabags and the Olypus TG4 for the rainy daysFeedback
Patience for the right light and timing is the key to all successful photography
