I love how these look like crystals and yet I believe they are water droplets. Love the teal and green in the reflection as well. Perfect!

I have to say that abstracts are not usually what catch my eye, but I totally couldn't pass this by without telling you how amazing it is. The color against the dark grey is outstanding. Beautiful work.

Location
The photo was taken in my back yard. The drops were on a glass patio table the morning after a rainy night.Time
The image was captured in the early morning, around an hour after sunrise. The clouds had not quite cleared so the sky was a soft gray. I thought the fact that the drops were standing on their own, as individuals, was an interesting perspective. Also, beneath the drops are their reflections from the bottom of the glass table top. That kind of offered a 3d feel. I think water is interesting in many of it's varied forms. I am not a professional photographer, just a very visual person, and I totally enjoy learning to capture some of the things I see.Lighting
As I mentioned the lighting was not bright, however, it was diffuse and bright enough for the colors to stand out. I did not use a flash or a tripod. I did steady my elbows on a nearby chair. And this is one of around 20 images that I took, fingers crossed and all that.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS REBEL T2i camera. I did not use a flash or a tripod. I did steady my elbows on a nearby chair. And this is one of around 20 images that I took, fingers crossed and all that. I slowed things down a bit with an ISO of 100 and an exposure time of 1/320 sec. The lens is a Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS. It has turned out to be my go to lens because it is versatile and adaptive enough for me to take just about anywhere.Inspiration
The only inspiration for this image is observation of things around me. There seem to be objects, animals, people, and on and on that beg to be captured everywhere I go. So I just keep going, keep seeing, and keep clicking.Editing
There was little post-processing required for this particular image. I did need to adjust the brightness and contrast some to accentuate the shape and reflections of the drops. I also enhanced the color just a tad for a bit of flavor. In my camera bag
Being a non-professional photographer I don't have a lot of equipment in my bag, just the aforementioned Canon EOS REBEL T2i and two and a half lenses. The EFS 55-250mm, the EFS 18-55mm, and a Canon 58mm close up lens 500D for as close to a macro shot as I get (that's my 1/2 lens).Feedback
I feel I am ill-equipped to offer up advice to serious photographers. My particular strength is patience, I will take as many images as necessary to capture what I see as accurately as my limited technical ability will allow. I often set up to capture hummingbirds and their antics, and spend a couple of hours watching, waiting and clicking away. I guess I enjoy the stalking.
