Location
We were doing a driving holiday around Tasmania and we were on a bit of a Waterfall finding mission. Nelson Falls would have to have been one of the more spectacular falls we stumbled across.Time
We on our way to Hobart when we stopped around 12pm to stretch our legs at Nelson Falls, perfect time of the day!Lighting
The only lighting used in this shot was the natural light at midday :)Equipment
To take this photo I used a Canon EOS 1000D, Shutter Speed 1/6 Sec, Exposure Program: Shutter Priority, F-Stop: f/16, Aperture Value: f/16, Max Aperture Value: f/4.0, ISO Speed Ratings: 200, Focal Length: 55.0mm. No tripod used.Inspiration
I had recently completed a course learning how to use the settings to take Waterfalls so wanted to put it into practice - this was the end result and I was really happy with the way it turned out.Editing
No post processing was done on this image. In my camera bag
The main things I have in my camera bag is my Canon EOS 1000D, EFS 18-55mm zoom lens, EFS 55-250mm lens, Sigma 10-20mm Lens and my newest addition 50-500mm zoom lens, extra memory cards, lens cloths, charger and the tripod is usually in the car for when needed.Feedback
Practice, practice and more practice. Take some courses and ask lots of questions and if you take a photo you are happy with, write down the settings you used so you know next time until it becomes second nature. I am not a professional by any means but I do love capturing memories and images for people to enjoy :)
