Behind The Lens
Location
The Photo was taken in National Botanical Garden Dr. Rafael M. Moscoso, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, it was an exciting time for me.Time
I remember taking this photo on August 11, 2013, around 7:40 am to get to the Jardin Botanico, that morning was amazing.Lighting
was in the early morning so the sun was beaming, but wanted to give tone softer and straight into my subject light, so use a flash with low power and a softbox for flash so it was not as strong light.Equipment
This shot was on a Nikon D7000, with an 70-300mm + extension tubes (12+20mm) f/11, at 90mm, a Flash on top of the camera and softbox in the flash.Inspiration
I have always had value and respect for nature, so also by the species, and the bee is one of the most laborious and organized insects, and for Macro Photography need a lot of patience to be able to show others what we see through our lens.Editing
In this type of photography (Macro), it is always necessary to make a post process, since our subjects are not people who static fall, but subjects do not control many times, either by the same movement of the subject or the environment . In this case use a basic post-processing in Photoshop: crop, brightness and contrast and a little sharp. In my camera bag
I always have my camera in my backpack Nikon D7000, a 50mm lens, fixed; one 18-105mm lens; one 70-300mm lens; extension tubes; Nikon Speedlight SB-700; some filters and my tripod is always in my car.Feedback
Set you want to shoot early to avoid changing lenses in the field, analyze the weather for the type of image that was taken, and most importantly, have patience, lots of patience, in order to make a good photograph.
