Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the Botanical Garden in my country, Dominican Republic.!

Time

it was in the mid morning, around 11:00 am, it was pretty amazing because that day we had a heavy rain before and when rain slow down and barely stop I just saw this, it was the perfect moment.!

Lighting

For this photo, the fact it was cloudy and the time of the day, barely morning, I just use the day light. For me, Cloudy days has a charming and brilliant colors, and the effects in the results are amazing.!

Equipment

This was shoot on a Nikon D3300, with a 50-200mm f/4-5.6 lens no VR. No tripods, no flash.

Inspiration

That day was my final photography classes, the field class, and after a few hours in the place start a heavy rain, and we had to stop, but after a few minutes the rain just stop, and on our way out I saw this flower, covered by the rain dots and so brilliant that I had to stop and take the picture, and that was the result. Pretty amazing.!

Editing

Yes, the post process was just basic adjustments like contrast, brightness and sharpening, and a little bit the tones curve.

In my camera bag

Now, normally I have my Nikon D7000, my Tamrom 24-70mm f/2.8, my Wide Angle Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, Flash and my travel Tripod.

Feedback

Patience, no matter what camera you have, is just about the moment, look around you there's always good moments waiting for you to be the one who show their beauty, just be aware and patience and you'll get it. This photo was my beginning, practical photo, and I was never expected could be so liked.!
