As my daughter was saying goodbye to me on her first day of work, the morning light in our sun room was perfect for this shot.Time
I took this early on a morning in June, 2012.Lighting
I really like to use natural light. And as many photographers know, natural light is varied according to each season. This photo was taken on a early, sunny morning while the light was still soft.Equipment
Fujifilm FinePix S5700, 1/50 sec, f/3.5 10.9mm. No additional equipment usedInspiration
I wanted to capture the look of typical teenager from a different perspective - jeans, tee shirt and a cell phone.Editing
This photo was taken in 2912. I had much less experience with and access to photo editing tools and/or apps. Therefore, I only used Photoshop minimally to enhance the color. In my camera bag
Currently, I keep my Sony camera tucked in the bag by the door, ready for my next road trip or vacation. And, I never leave home without my Samsung phone. I have been able to capture some of my favorite shots with my trusty cell phone.Feedback
My favorite photo genre is macro. With macro shots, I have found it necessary to take many shots often at different angles. Just two or three shots is never enough. Personally, I don't think it's possible to see the best shot on the camera. When it comes to macro shots, I see them best on a computer monitor or tablet/laptop screen. So when I have a lot of shots to choose from, I'm able to select the one shot that captures the details that the naked eye might miss.
