Location
This photo was taken near my hometown, the city of Iasi, Romania.Time
This photo was taken at sunset. I was actually aiming for some sunsflowers photographs and I knew this place, but they were all dried out and there were really not as many as I wanted. But the clouds were gorgeus, the sun coming down on the horizon and the green grass reflecting the warm light. It was a sureal moment that I just had to remember...Lighting
The lighting added volume for the clouds, some reflections on the grass, and the low sun really enhanced the colours of the scene.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon d7100 and a Tamron 17 - 50 f2.8 lens, mounted on a velborn Sherpa tripod. I always use the remote for landscape photographs.Inspiration
The moment, the silence and the stillness of the wind' there was nothing to disturb it; it was great!Editing
Yes, I usually do my post-processing in Lihgtroom. Lowering the highlights and enhancing the shadows for a nice contrast, a little bit of brushing for the grass and saturation for the grass areas and for the colours of the sunset. In my camera bag
In the bag I usually have have the nikon d7100, tamron 17 - 50 f2.8 and tokina 11 - 16 f2.8 for the wide scenery; 55 - 200 Nikon kit lens as tele; and the old 105 mm f2.8D nikkor for macro shots. Tripod, remote some close-up filters, etc.Feedback
As a general advice (I am not a pro, I still have a lot of hardwork to do and much to learn), I would say just go out and shoot with every opportunity you have. Luck will find you eventually, but it have to find you working on it :)
