Location
This photo was taken in my home town of Redondo Beach, CA. It was at around 6:30am.Time
This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. One of my good friends asked me if I would go to the beach with him and take some shots of him surfing. The waves were terrible so my friend was just sitting in the water waiting for at least one nice set to come along when all of a sudden I saw a pod of dolphins jumping out of the water so I imedietly turned away from where my friend was and started following the dolphins. As i was following them a paddle boarder went by and i snapped this shot. I have never edited this shot it is 100% straight out of the camera.Lighting
I had it set for my friend surfing and when I started shooting the dolphins it made for a really great silhouette.Equipment
I shot this on my Canon 7D with a 70-200mm Tameron lens.Inspiration
Nothing can really prepare you for a shot like this. It was extremely spontaneous.Editing

I always have my Canon 7D with my 50mm lens and 24-105mm lens. when I'm shooting surfers or sport in general I tend to bring my 70-200mm Tameron it's very fast and is great for low light situations. I also have a Velvet 56mm Lensbaby that does macro and is just a great special effect lens.Feedback
Watch your exposure and make sure you are ready for anything because you never know when that perfect shot will jump out at you.
