Absolutely love this. I watch my son play with his toys like this... his mind is beyond any creative 9 year old than I could ever imagine. What fun...... I see a great story in this pic. Thanks for the smile

Location
I took this photo at home. I was planning a trip for the summer with my girlfriend and decided to get some legos to try and take some pics with them in our trip. But first I need it to practice as to see which lenses worked best. I tried with a telephoto lenses and the results were spot on.Time
It was after lunch, probably 4pm as the sun was still strong and I could see the light affecting the picture.Lighting
I added some of camera flash light just to give some smooth illumination. The flash was pointing to the ceiling and I had to adjust it so I could get the correct illumination as the background was quite lit.Equipment
Nikon d7000. Nikkor 70-300. hand held. off camera flash sb-700 remote trigger.Inspiration
This year has been a great year in terms of travelling. My girlfriend and I have been planning some exciting trips and I felt inspired to take this picture where I go with the camera around, running everywhere and snapping around while she follows me and enjoys the ride. That's why it's called 'let's travel the world' because we enjoy travelling and I enjoy taking pictures of everything.Editing
I post-processed the image using lightroom and tried to give it a more vintage look.In my camera bag
I usually have with me my prime lenses which I love. 50mm F1.8 35mm F1.8 85mm F1.8Feedback
Try to look for an idea and try to put it in camera. It doesn't matter where you are, just try to be a little bit creative. Using legos is a great way to bring some idea to life. They are great models and you can move them accordingly to your needs. Illumination is key as they are quite small and you will have to use a telephoto lense to get them in a reasonable size. You can use a wide angle lenses and try to get closer but you could experience some lens distortion. Play with your lenses and perspective and see which ones suits you best. One the idea and the scenario and the lightning is set, you just need to bring that to life.
