Location
The photo vas taken in Croatia, mountain region Zumberak. The church of Sv. George ( 45°50'12.78"N, 15°34'2.48"E) was taken from here ( 45°50'17.30"N, 15°34'19.57"E)Time
It was taken 2. 6. 2012. on the worst time of the day, at 15:34:59Lighting
Despite the bad time of the day, I did have luck it was a partially cloudy day and that the background is a dark forest in opposite to the light church buildingEquipment
Pentax K-7 with the kit lens Pentax SMC-DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED camera handholded with settings: ISO 125, Aperture 7.1, Shutter 1/160Inspiration
The fact that it was a bad time of the day to take images, I was looking for something that is minimalistic, some subject with a clear background that will isolate the subject.Editing
Just basic contrast and white balance correction and a bit sharpening. In my camera bag
When I am going with the car, I take almost all my equipment. The camera, tripod, flashes, all lenses (two kit zoom lenses, 18-55 and 50-200 that are weather sealed and cower the range, and three prime lenses, 35, 50 and 200 mm, that provide bigger aperture and better image quality.) If I am going hiking or walking a longer route, I take just the camera and two kit lenses, sometime the tripod.Feedback
Look around you to see some interesting subject that is isolated and have patience if necessary. It was the worst part of the day when I did take the image. It was the middle of the day with a strong and harsh sunlight. But it was partially cloudy with bit of wind. I was sitting about an hour and waited that the wind push a big cloud over the church, so the light was much softer and that grant me a lower contrast without harsh shadows.
