I have taken this photo in the Winton area about 20klm away from my home town Tamworth NSWTime
Well it was some time back when i took this photo i my way home from work, we were doing some plumbing on a farm house , i was heading home about 5pm when this shot was takenLighting
It was very dusty from a couple of cars that travel the road, and as it hung in the air it gave the soft effect with the sun going down in the backgroundEquipment
The camera i used was a Cannon 5D11, it would have had a 24-105 lens fitted, i was driving along the road at a bit of pace in a hurry to get home when i spotted the scene out the passenger window, so i braked hard and reversed quickly so as not to miss it happening, only to have to wait a couple of minutes for my own dust to clear that i had made ha ha ha ha it was hand held to take the shotInspiration
Photography is a great stress relief for me as our business is pretty full on with long hours and a lot of weekend work and night call outs so anything that catches my eye as something that i think is a good shot, i go for it, so my inspiration come from looking for that release from stressEditing
As i said i took this photo some time back and can't remember exactly what i had done to it if any, i do sharpen ,lighten etc at time with standard Apple iPhoto effects, always only very minor, as i feel that for me it is more important to get it right within the camera, love the challenge of dealing with the clash of light and shade, POV , lack of light at times , capturing moving things especially things coming straight at meIn my camera bag
As much as i can get in the car and still allow my wife room to have a seat ha ha ha. I have one Cannon 5D11 with a Sigma 300-800 lens fitted, I have another Cannon 5D11 along with a 16-35cannon lens, 24-105cannon lens,100-400cannon lens,180 macro cannon lens,a Feisol tripod and Feisol monopod, Cokin filters , speedy light flash, Far more equipment than i should and equipment way way above the capabilities of a Plumber carrying a camera ha ha ha ha , one day when i retire i shall go and do a photography course and learn how to use it all ha ha ha haFeedback
Take photos for your self not for the expectations of others as photography is way to subjective, most importantly you must enjoy it. I particularly love a statement from a fellow Viewbug member, "A Birth certificate shows that you were born, A Death certificate shows that you died , A Photo shows that you lived."
