This photo was taken at my home in Ozark, Missouri after a heavy snowstorm blew through. I was standing on the street at the South-East corner of the lot.Time
This photo was taken in the early morning on Christmas day, 2002. I looked out to see the sunlight reflecting off of the snow, and decided to take a picture of the pristine snow.Lighting
I liked the way the flora cast stark shadows on the snow, as well as the bright sunlight reflections from the snow-laden branches.Equipment
This photo was taken with my first-ever digital camera: a Canon Powershot A20. The sun was high enough in the sky that I took ti while holding the camera.Inspiration
I have always been fascinated with snow since my childhood. I grew up North-West of Austin, TX, and we had a "record-braking" 2-1/2 inches of snow in 1959. Seeing this snow in Missouri brought back those memories.Editing
I used the GIMP photo program, with the elsamuko lomography plugin, to create the vignette in the picture. In my camera bag
I normally have my Android phone with me, so that is the default camera I use. When I schedule a photo session, I use my Canon A1000, along with a tripod.Feedback
Enjoy your surroundings. Everything is special, especially the views that bring back memories.
