Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in studio

Time

I think it was already night, I feel more inspired to photograph when it's already night

Lighting

In this photo I used a softbox with a 600w flash, I like to photograph food against the light to create shadows and a little drama.

Equipment

Sony A99 + Tamron 24-70, tripod, walimex pro VC-600 and a softbox

Inspiration

The inspiration came from Asian taverns, especially in the more rural areas of China, I wanted to use rustic wood and thus create a contrast with the rustic and delicate Dim Sum

Editing

in photoshop I added more contrast and depth to the image, highlighting the food

In my camera bag

Sony A99 + Tamron 24-70, tripod

Feedback

the light is everything here, don't be afraid to create shadows, and try to tell a story, use inspiration from your everyday life. I try to translate what I see on my travels into food photos.
