Location
This photo was taken in my backyard. My youngest kids were outside and decided to capture some photos.Time
It was in the afternoon, my kids were outside playing and Zelda was out with them running around.Lighting
In this case, I used the natural light outside. Some prefer flash even for outdoors but I prefer natural light as much as possible. I like to capture scenes the way I see them not with extra lighting.Equipment
Shot on my Sony a6100 using a Sony 55mm-210mm telephoto lens. No tripod or flash used.Inspiration
I wanted to take a decent portrait of our family Husky named Zelda. She posed perfectly and I was fortunate enough to capture her exactly how I was imagining.Editing
Yes, I used lightroom to add a more dramatic look.In my camera bag
A few lens, extra batteries, filters, cleaning supplies and a rain cover.Feedback
My advice is listen to your instincts and try to capture what you see if your mind for a scene a reality. There is times I regret not trying to take shots from different angles or with different lens for different effect. Some of my favorite photos come from experimenting with my imagination.
