Behind The Lens

Location

I was taking a drive to clear my head one evening in Derbyshire and decided I’d take a walk past the river as the sun went down. I wasn’t disappointed as I turned to see space on the other side of the bridge, and used the archway to frame the shot of Chatsworth house reflecting in the water.

Time

The lighting was starting to fade as the sun set around 9pm on a summers night.

Lighting

It was late in the day, getting towards blue hour.

Equipment

IPhone 11 Pro

Inspiration

As I was driving my car down the beautiful countryside roads, I couldn’t help but get out and take a few pictures.

Editing

I did a little post in lightroom, just to reduce the noise a bit and enhance the reflection of the building.

In my camera bag

I usually roll out with my Nikon d5500, 35mm prime lens, tripod and that is me.

Feedback

Don’t ignore potential frames for your shots. With the right lighting it can add lots of depth and perspective too.
