Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my apartment it was a really special shoot simply because it started out as just my friend coming over to talk.

Time

It was probably around 16:00. Summer. It's always so light at summer and all the windows are home are on the sunny side.

Lighting

It's all natural light. I love the softness and depth it gives to photos

Equipment

I think it was a canon 7d and 50mm 1/8 lens. No flash or tripod.

Inspiration

She was just sprawled out on my couch,smoking shisha and talking about her problems and the light was perfect. I took my camera and started taking pictures. Not every shot has to be planned and set up. Sometimes spur of the moment shots are as special.

Editing

The shot has a bit of color grading

In my camera bag

Besides my camera and lens I always have an led flashlight. Funny, but it's cheaper than the super pro stuff, effective at lighting and also small and light enough that you don't feel like you have bricks in the bag.
