Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken outside our home in New Jersey. I am a lifestyle photographer in which the current environment was perfect for this photo.

Time

This photo was taken in the early afternoon. I did not have any lighting setup, so utilizing the sun was ideal.

Lighting

As I mentioned prior, I decided to utilize natural light just to uphold the “natural” look of the current environment.

Equipment

I used my Sony a7R3 with the Sony 90mm f/2.8 lens

Inspiration

The story behind this photo embarks us on the reality of the current pandemic. Living in New Jersey, we were heavily impacted by supply shortages, even today as we are still locked-down. My fiancé was on her way to purchase food utilizing her work mask. I took the opportunity to capture how our lives changed during the beginning of the pandemic.

Editing

I used CaptureOne to fine tune the white-balance.
