Location
The photo was taken on a winters day on Coquet beach in Northumberland UK. A popular tv show featured the small coquet island, so I paid a visit. The crab pot was washed up, probably lost from its buoy and tetherTime
The image was capture with the natural light of the heavily overcast day around 1pm.Lighting
Natural lighting on this image.Equipment
I used my Sony mirror less A6400 with the 18-105 F4 G lens. I squeezed the aperture to capture the moodiness of the day and to get some detail of the island visible in the bokeh.Inspiration
Opportunity image and not staged at all, but knew there would be features on the ling stretch of beach with a fabulous boat mooring just along the coast at low Newton harbour.Editing
Some very light image improvements in Lightroom to revive the highlights and improve the shadows. In my camera bag
Camera, telephoto lense , fast prime and a compact hand tripodFeedback
Don’t be afraid to change the perspective by getting low and close to the object in focus.
