Location
Edlingham Castle with its remarkable leaning tower, was recently voted one of the top three castles in Northumberland, England, UK. This mighty Northumbrian fortress crowns the hilltop above the River Coquet, and was once home to the powerful Percy family. The riverside ruins of a manor house progressively fortified against the Scots during the 14th century.Time
I woke early and took the chance to drive into Northumberland for some other photos, stopped on my way home and this image sequence it was around 1pm eventually and the spring sun was as high as it gets.Lighting
The light was changing due to the broken cloud coverage, in full manual and iso set to 100, all natural lighting.Equipment
Sony A6400 apsc camera, with my Samyang 10mm ncs cine lens at F2.8 (t3.1)Inspiration
Edlingham is a serene and a quiet spot, lots of history about this part of England in its feudal years. The cloud covering and light made me stop.Editing
Some colour grading and cropping in Lightroom to bring out the moody nature of the location and the contrast of the skies. In my camera bag
Normally travel quite light so my body and a couple of lenses to give some options are normal. Camera phone as a option too.Feedback
