Every year our local Raptor center has a release party where they release all the raptors that were rescued and are now rehabilitated and healthy.

Behind The Lens

Location

In our studio in St Paul MN.

Time

It was in studio so time of day and lighting was controlled.

Lighting

Simple portrait setup with one large softbox on the right with Alien Bees 800 and a 400 small softbox to the left at 45/23 degrees at 6 ft height.

Equipment

Canon with 50 mm, two studio strobes, free handed.

Inspiration

The model actually spotted the bubbles from a previous kids shoot and wanted a pic with them.

Editing

Skin softening and added a couple more bubbles. Enhanced saturation so her clothing popped a little more.

In my camera bag

In my bag I normally carry Canon 6d with a Tamron 28-300, Canon 85mm, and sometimes Canon 50mm. Always have an ND filter with. also a tripod.

Feedback

Go crazy with ideas you make think it may not turn out but some of the best photos I have ever taken were on accident or I thought they were not very good but once you load them on to a desktop and view them full size you may change your mind. So dont ever delete photos on your camera, take a better look at them.
