Behind The Lens

Location

On a lake walk around Wood Lake Nature Preserve, Richfield MN.

Time

It was appoaching mid morning just before 9 a.m. I was on my way out and almost didnt see him.

Lighting

Mid morning sunlight I do wish I would have seen him earlier in the morning.

Equipment

Canon 6D with a Sigma 150-600mm contemporary telephoto lens.

Inspiration

I like to tell a story and I am hoping this tells the story of the Green Heron stalking his prey.

Editing

I did bringten him up a little bit the sun was slightly behind his head so he was a little dark.

In my camera bag

Canond 6d, 150-600mm, 28-300mm, sometimes 50mm if doing people shots.

Feedback

Patience. I have sat for hours somedays waiting for birds or wildlife to come into perfect view.
