Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on the Venice Beach walk where I use to people watch and soak in the sun.

Time

I took this as close to the golden hour as possible to get all these beautiful colors in the sky.

Lighting

The lighting can be tricky, since the sun was still above the horizon and we were shooting towards the west I had to position myself so that the sun would be to the left of the photo and cast rays of light behind the model.

Equipment

I was using my Canon with a 55mm lens so I could get great depth contrast.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this photo was just timing. If I see something worth being photographed, that is what inspires me.

Editing

No I don’t use or do any kind of post-processing.

In my camera bag

I usually have three different lenses in my bag with me. I have my 55mm, 18-55 mm, and my 300mm lens. Along with my Canon EOS Rebel SL1.
