this was on stage.. i was doing images for "Miss Gab" (my granddaughters dance teacher) for her portfolio. when Clare found out she wanted to come and "help out".. o included both dancers for the first part of the shoot, then just featured Miss Gab after. This image was at the end of a long hour and a half of dancing and posing and it was past my granddaughter's bed time.Time
best guess this was around 7:00- 7:30 pmLighting
The stage lighting was new L.E.D. stage lighting and filled in with a large softbox to the camera left to soften the deep shadowsEquipment
Canon 1D mk iii.. 70-200 f 2.8 at around 135mm,,060s monolight witth 48" softbox to camera leftInspiration
It was one of those fleeting moments you pray for and seldom catchEditing
Use lightroom to turn image into B&W , then adjusted contrastIn my camera bag
I usually tailor my gear list for the job, so that means anything from an 11-16 zoom to a 500 f4 tele... remote controls, speedlights, monolightsFeedback
NEVER< NEVER < NEVER put your camera down on turn it off until you're 100% sure everything is packed and you're the last to leave the studio or where ever you're shooting
