Location
The photo was taken in Rome (Italy) in 2016 on the Settimia Spizzichino bridge, an all-steel work that connects the Garbatella district to Ostiense by climbing over the railway.Time
At sunset, around 6:00 pm, and the sun was already below the horizon.Lighting
The backlight and the incident light gave particular emphasis to the steel elements of the bridge, highlighting the details of the pipes and tie rods.Equipment
It may seem trivial but the photo was taken with a Huaway P8 Lite mobile phone.Inspiration
Why did I take it? I had already taken many photos of this spectacular bridge since it was under construction. But that day seemed special to me, perhaps because of the light and the strange calm and the very little traffic so I shot and shot. The whole worked: a large cage like a spider web that tried to catch the small car and went through it.Editing
I shared the photo on Instagram, using one of the black and white filters, softening the low and high lights. In my camera bag
When I go out to photograph I usually bring a Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 24-70mm, a Nikkor 16-35mm and a Nikkor 80-200mm. I don't like using the tripod and I always work freehand.Feedback
An advice? Always take your time. Go back to places several times at different times. A photo materializes suddenly but almost by chance, unless it is a particularly lucky moment...
