This is one of my favorite photos from my most recent roll of film. this is Stella, she's a Samoyed- golden retriever cross and she is never in a hurry to do anything, which is great for portraits!

Location
I took this photo at my parents house over Christmas last year, the whole family was there for about a week.Time
I shot this at about 5 pm.Lighting
It had been an overcast day so the light was relatively dull but we'll dispersed.Equipment
I got this on my favourite camera, my OM2 MD using Fuji Superia 200, not tripod or flash, just took a knee and Stella posed perfectlyInspiration
Stella has always been a very photogenic dog, for some reason whenever she sees a lense pointed at her she stops and smiles and I just couldn't miss such a great opportunityEditing
This is just shot, developed and scanned straight off the film, the only processing I've done is a little bit of dust removal in post.In my camera bag
Nothing, whenever I shoot I take the camera, some film and maybe a longer lens, I've always preferred capturing moments as they happen and I find having too much equipment just distracts me from actually shootingFeedback
One thing I like to do with dogs is frame them and set my exposure and focus while they're looking elsewhere, then shaking a toy or something else just above my head to grab their attention. It depends on what thier temprement is like when it comes to getting photos but that can help getting them to look right at you.
