Location

I took this in Northern VA at a overlook there. It was an overcast day with light rain, which gave for dynamic skies.

Time

It was afternoon, not sure of the exact time when I took this.

Lighting

It was natural light heavily filtered through dark clouds.

Equipment

EOS 7D not sure of the lens I used but could have been my kit 28mm-135mm lens.

Inspiration

I took a trip up to this area just to take a picture of these falls. I heard they were very scenic. I happened to come on a very overcast day.

Editing

Yes, I did HDR imaging. This was a three exposure HDR image. I used Photomatix and photoshop to finish post processing.
