Behind The Lens

Location

Cyprus, Akrotiri village.

Time

Night

Lighting

Long exposure available light pollution which was enough from a village nearby.

Equipment

Canon EOS 6D, Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8, tripod.

Inspiration

I fell in love with astrography so I kept looking for a possible location with an interesting foreground, this was one of them but since I like to make a storytelling, I decided to include myself as Captain of the ship.

Editing

Yes, the foreground being myself and alone at the location was not easy an easy task to make a photo wirelessly, so I tried many shots to choose the best. The best photo came out not the same time when the Galaxy was aligned with the shipwreck. So I made the blend of 2 photos as it is very much accepted by the regulation of National Geographic definition (Blend not Composite). In addition, the basic astrography retouching from white balance and contrast.
