One morning after a thunderstorm I went outside to find so many beautiful flowers that thankfully had not been damaged too badly by the rain - and were really quite beautiful. Tried a few Matte Overlays on this one. Part of another image is layered into the background.

When flowers have been prepared for a photo with a light touch of water from a spray bottle it can take away from the beauty of the flower because it looks staged. I know it is recommended to make it look prettier, but to me those kinds of photos look staged. Your explanation of this rose having been in a thunderstorm, clarifies why it doesn't look like a prepped rose that's been spritzed! When I first saw it, I thought it had the beauty of a wise old rose that had weathered the storm and when I read your explanation, I had to smile, because that's exactly what had happened. And your title is so perfect. Absolutely beautiful!
