This photo was taken in the fall during a photo workshop at Yosemite. The crowds were gone which gave us the ability to park anywhere we needed to. This is a spot most people would not know about because it's not marked. We parked on the side of the road and had to hike a short way through the woods.Time
This shot was taken mid day which allowed me to use an IR filter.Lighting
You need a sunny day if you are attempting to shoot IR.Equipment
Olympus EM5 camera, 12-40 2.8, tripod, Polaroid IR 720 nm filter.Inspiration
You normally do not see IR photos of Yosemite. I thought by doing this would make the shot more dramatic.Editing
I used Photoshop and converted the photo to black and white using Nik Silver Efex.In my camera bag
My go to equipment is my OMD-EM1 MKII, 7-14 2.8, 12-40 2.8, 40-150 2.5, 2X converter and lots of batteries and filters.Feedback
Sunny day with lots of greenery.
