Marvellous! Got that "wild and free" feel to it, coupled with raw film aesthetic, as if it was shot on a Polaroid in the 80-s (hair, eyebrows, swimsuit model all contiribute to it). I'm an instant fan.

I like this photo as well. Her provocative look isn't over the top, as it matches the intensity of her sexy pose. Not "full on", or soft porn-ish. That's what I think makes this work. It's obvious what comes next, yet she has some reservations about it. Could it be because she is on an uncomfortable rock cropping? Very well done photo overall!

Behind The Lens

Location

Me and the model found a spot tucked away near VA Beach.

Time

Midday

Lighting

Just the sun over us!

Equipment

I keep things very very simple when I shoot. Just me, my model, my camera, and my lens.

Inspiration

The warmth in the tones and textures around us. It all blended so well together.

Editing

Yes, I've built for myself a long list of custom presets that I'll test against photos of various lighting types. This one ended up becoming its own unique set of tweaks! I'm sure you can tell I favor sharp textures, rich contrast, and warm tones.

In my camera bag

Grey card, spare batteries, snacks. The camera and lens stay around my neck.

Feedback

Really, your work has to come from an honest place. You have to feel it out. Every shot I take and process and post online has been thoroughly vibed through by me. If I post it, it should already have a special quality that I mix in from my years of shooting. I can't really detail my process because each person's process is their own thing.
