Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken downtown Edmonton, AB in a parkade.

Time

We shot this on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. It was a beautiful sunny day so we were able to use mostly natural light.

Lighting

Because it was such a beautiful day and we were able to use mostly natural light for the lighting I only needed to use a flash to try and balance the lighting.

Equipment

I used a Nixon D5100 with a 50mm lens for this shot with a hotshoe flash with diffuser

Inspiration

I was looking to grow my portfolio and model Paige Vixen contacted me about shooting. She was a blast to work with

Editing

For the post processing I just had to do some colour correction and airbrushing

In my camera bag

Normally I just have an extra flash a couple of extra lenses(which lenses i bring varies depending on the lighting and location) my glass cleaning supplies and a rain hood for my camera just in case.

Feedback

My advice would be to explore the downtown of what ever city you live in and find empty parkades or abandoned building and have fun (always make sure you get permission first though)
