Location
This photo was taken in our studio location in Buffalo, NY, on one of our most simple, yet most popular sets called Pure Sexy.Time
This photo was taken during a client session in our studio, during the day, however the lighting is constant light. She was doing the session as a wedding gift for her soon to be husband.Lighting
This style of lighting is one of my favs. I love to create shape, dimension, shadows and interest with light. This photo is a one light setup, using an Impact Qualite 300 with barn doors to shape the light. The light is placed slightly to the front/right of the client.Equipment
This photo was shot with at NIKON D610 at Aperture: f/2.8, ISO: 1000, Shutter Speed: 1/500, using a Nikon 24-70 2.8Inspiration
As I mentioned this client was doing her session as a wedding gift to her soon to be hubby. I showed my client the type of mood we were going for and just instructed her to close her eyes, feel her breath, and just be in the moment.Editing
I shoot everything in raw, so in Lightroom I turned the photo to black and white, did a small tweek with exposure, contrast, and a tiny bit of sharpening, that's it, no photoshop on this beauty. In my camera bag
This is a good question, it really depends on what I am shooting, but for boudoir I have a Nikon D610, a Nikon D7000 as a backup, my Nikon 24-70 2.8, Nikon 70-200 2.8, and my Tamron 35 1.8.Feedback
Show your clients what to do, talk them through it and just allow them to be in the moment, it may take a few giggles to work through, but keep trying. Let them just feel their breath, in face breathe with them, coach them the whole way. Since this lighting is a harder edge light, check your shadows make sure they are flatering.
