Late afternoonLighting
I used off camera flash to the right of the frameEquipment
Nikon d810, nikon 24-70 f2.8, flash triggers, sb910 flash on a light stand, manfrotto tripod and a wireless shutter triggerInspiration
I wanted to do a levitation photo and set up that was more challenging as a self portrait with myself levitating and the fabric flowingEditing
Yes. I took a blank plate shot of just the wall and then used that to edit out the stool I was sitting on and the backdrop stand that was originally holding the fabric. I then colour graded using curves. In my camera bag
Nikon gear - D800, D810, 24-70 f2.8, 100 f2, 50 f1.4 and a sb910 flash Generic brand- Flash triggers, wireless shutter release, batteries Samyang 14 f2.8 Batteries - eneloop proFeedback
Always take a plate shot AFTER you've got your main shot without refocusing or recomposing. Have someone help with getting focus if you're shooting a self portrait and make sure you mark the spot they are standing. If you don't have someone with you, use a light stand to get focus and, mark that spot. Take a whole lot of shots and have fun! Don't be afraid to make mistakes
