Location
In my home studio in front of a black textile background.Time
It was in the evening, so that there was no available light around.Lighting
I used two lights with reflector from behind to get a smooth shiny light and one spot from the front with a transparent white shield.Equipment
Camera: Sony a77II, Lens: Sony DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM, 3 continuous lightingInspiration
I just wanted to try out new flashes. It just was the second photo shooting with my dog and I see some images of black dogs with black background. This photo was just one of the footage from the test.Editing
On the original image you can see a bookshelf in the background. I just darken the background. I change the raw file, that the lights focussed the dog. A little bit D&B to see more details on the dog.In my camera bag
Camera: Sony a77II, Miops Trigger Adapter (I love to trigger the camera with my phone), Rollei C5i tripod, Lenses: Sony DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM (Sony standard lens), Sony DT 50mm F1.8 SA (for portraits), Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HS (wide angle lens) and Tamron SP70-300 F/4-5.6 Di USD.Feedback
The ones who having a black dog should try to capture him in front of a black screen or black textile. The photo will be quite awesome. To get the perfect light is the most difficult, because the dog should be seen with details on the photo. The last 10% of the perfect should can be done with some small photoshop skills.
